Downtown Leeuwarden is easy to reach by car. It's not possible however to park your car just everywhere.
There are three different types of parking space; paid, for license holders, and “blue zones”.
It's obligatory to pay for parking space in downtown Leeuwarden. Entering the city by one of the approach roads, you will be informed about the parking possibilities, indicated by means of the parking route information system.
